What Is A Pergola
What used to be called a patio or porch roof is now commonly referred to as a pergola. Pergolas provide shelter from the sun, rain, and wind depending upon its design features. They consist of rafters, beams and posts and either be attached or detached from a home or facility. Some folks question what is the difference between a perfola and gazebo. Usually a gazebo is freestanding and has a pitched roof, while a pergola roof is flat. The terms arbor and pergola are oftern used interchangeably, but an arbor is more of a structure used to support vines or other type of plants.
